Air transport director to visit a regional company
A delegation of DGAC (French Aviation Authority) led by M Paul Schwach (Deputy General Manager of the civil aviation) visited on april 5th ELDEC France, a local aerospace equipment manufacturer.
During the visit, David Perret, General Manager of Eldec France, showed to the delegation members the technological know-how of its company which has established itself as a partner of Airbus and supplied equipments on all Airbus program. Eldec France employs 48 people (including half of engineers) and exports 70% of its turnover to prestigious clients such as Honeywell, Gulfstream, Bell Helicopter (USA) Agusta Westland, Alenia (Italy), Pilatus (Switzerland). Eldec France develops and produces equipments for embedded systems, proximity sensors and fuel jauging systems.
The second half of the meeting was held in Lyon-Bron airport premises with a presentation of projects led by Aerospace Cluster in Rhône-Alpes. Frédéric Antras, cluster delegate, illustrated Rhône-Alpes industrial success on major programs (Airbus A320, A380 and A350, Boeing B787, Falcon 7 X or even the Bombardier Global 7000/8000) and its research activities for future platforms.
